1. អាចារ្យ ( n ) [ʔaacaa]
   teacher, layman who acts as liaison between the Buddhist clergy and the lay people; master of religious ceremonies; practitioner of traditional rituals and healer (According to Buddhist teachings there are five kinds of អាចារ្យ : (1) បព្វជ្ជាចារ្យ monks who ordain laymen into the priesthood (2) ឧបសម្បទាចារ្យ monks who ordain junior monks as senior monks (3) ឧទ្ទេសាចារ្យ teachers of Pali (4) និស្សយាចារ្យ supervising teachers (5) ធម្មាចារ្យ teachers of the Dharma)

2. ហត្ថាចារ្យ [hat ʔaacaa] : elephant trainer
   
3. ហោរាចារ្យ [hao ʔaacaa] : expert in astrologer, fortuneteller
   
4. អាចារ្យកម្មដ្ឋាន [ʔaacaa kammattʰaan] : instructor in meditation
   
5. អាចារ្យកាន់ពេលា [ʔaacaa kan peelie] : person who sets the date for a wedding
   
6. អាចារ្យយោគី [ʔaacaa yookii] : person who leads a funeral procession
