1. ឱម ( i ) [ʔaom]
   Om, exclamation of solemn affirmation, spoken before and after prayers and magical incantations; roughly equivalent to `hail' and `amen' (regarded by Hindus as a sacred syllable, the absolute essence of the Divine Principle; it is repeated by Buddhist monks to achieve a state of emptiness or detachment from the physical world; the word is popularly believed to be composed of the letters អ , ម which stand for Vishnu, Shiva and Brahma or the Buddha, Dharma and priesthood)
