1. ដូចម្ដេច [dooc mdəc] : whatever; how, why; however, in whatever way; what, what kind, like what; as, thus,
   Eg. នយោបាយថ្មីនៃសហរដ្ឋអាមេរិកចំពោះប្រទេសចិនគឺធ្វើដូចម្តេចឲ្យមានប្រទេសចិនពីរនៅក្នុងអង្គការអន្តរជាតិនេះ: The new policy of the U.S.A. toward China is to do whatever (it can) to have the two Chinas in the U.N.
2. ថាម្តេច? [tʰaa mdəc -----] : What do / did you say?
   
3. ម្តេចក្តី [mdəc kdəy] : however much
   Eg. ទោះជាខ្ញុំមានរវល់​ម្តេចក្តី ខ្ញុំនឹងទៅចូលរួមជាមិនខាន: No matter how busy I am, I'll participate without fail.
4. ម្ដេចក៏ [mdəc kɑɑ] : + CLAUSE how come ...? how is it that ...?
   
5. ម្ដេចក៏ដោយ [mdəc kɑɑ daoy] : be that as it may, it doesn't matter (as long as ...), no matter (what)
   Eg. ម្តេចក៏​ដោយ​ ឲ្យតែឈ្នះ: It doesn't matter as long as (you) win.
6. ម្ដេចម្ដា [mdəc mdaa] : be that as it may, no matter what, no matter how, whatever
   Eg. ទោះបីជាយូរម្តេចម្តា ខ្ញុំប្រាថ្នាថាយើងនឹងបានជួបទៀត: No matter how long it may be, I hope we'll meet (again).
